On days like this we remember why we like being vacation rental owners!

A lucky day in the life of a vacation rental owner

There are (rare) days when you think “why did I ever decide to start renting out my house?!“. It’s mostly when everybody else is on holiday and traveling somewhere, and we have to stay home to check guests out and in and to make sure everything runs smoothly while they are on vacation. Meeting them is generally enough to push  that feeling away though, but it’s on days like today that everything makes sense.

Today I came across two great blog posts about our Casina di Rosa and about our area.

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of having Keith Jenkins of Velvet Escape as our guest and he has just published a lovely blog post about life in a small village like ours: A peek into village life in Tuscany. Meeting him was a real pleasure, and I wish we had more time to spend together! I am looking forward to reading about other places he visited while staying at our vacation house in Tuscany!

And then our friend and guests Cindy and Scott published some really pretty photos they took during their stay at Casina di Rosa! Fabulous! Besides they also blogged about the day trips they took from here and the great food they had in various restaurants. Here are their posts about their day trips to Siena, to the coast of the Maremma, to Montalcino, to Pienza and the Abbey of Monte Uliveto Maggiore, to Montepulciano, and to Sorano, Sovana and Pitigliano.

It’s on days like this that we remember why we keep giving up our holiday time so that we can keep being vacation rental owners!!

  1. The pleasure’s all mine Gloria. Thanks so much for inviting us. We had a great time in Tuscany, thanks to your many restaurant and things-to-do-and-see tips.

    Lots of hugs,
    Keith

  2. Looks like all cindy and scott did was EAT!!

  3. Isn’t that the best part of a vacation?! Of course we contributed taking them out to dinner… at the very same place we took them when they first came!! Can you believe it?! What a gaffe! They’ll have to come back so that we can take them to another place! LOL
